We're looking to set up a public access in an area where the physical networking is rather sub-par. Between being open to the Domain Users group and having slow networking, we really don't want the machines to have to create profiles for every user that connects. I've looked into roaming profiles, but that still requires building the profile at each login, and the networking over there might not support it. Is there a way to "map" any domain login to a single local profile - not just a default profile, but the same physical profile, so that at first login the user doesn't have to sit through the 3+ minutes of "Preparing your desktop..." ?
Thanks in advance for the help. :)
