Here is my situation. We have a network in the office 2008 R2 servers. AD/GC DNS DHCP.
Works great. We have a mobile server with our enterprise software installed that gets taken off site. Users can authenticate to the mobile server no problem. The issue I have is if I happen to be somewhere without internet/VPN back to the main office authentication still works but I cannot access AD to add accounts or reset passwords.
I know my global catalog is syncing because users are able to connect but why can I not reset passwords ETC and have them sync back once a connect is re-established.
Maybe I'm beating a dead horse here but it sure would be nice to be able to go off the grid as it were and sync back up when we return.
